How to exercise to get rid of belly fat

For many of us, the abdominal area is the last frontier that stands between us and the body of our dreams. Every where you look you will see one product or gadget after another that claims that it is the best exercise to get rid of belly fat on the planet.

Of course, with all the hype, it’s hard to know what to believe. In this article I’m going to lay it all on the line for you so you know the exact steps you need to follow if you want to lose that belly fat for good.

The one thing you must keep in mind is that there is no such thing as spot reducing you will lose weight all over your body, and not just in your abs.

Having said that though, you will tend to lose more fat where you need to lose fat. So if you don’t have a lot of excess body fat anywhere on your body except your stomach that is where you will see the most fat loss.

You also need to eat the right amount of foods to lose belly fat. That sounds weird, you have to eat to lose fat, but it’s true. If you don’t keep your body fed so it can keep burning fat (by keeping your metabolism burning hot) you will have a much harder time of losing weight.

We now know that the old idea of starving ourselves to lose weight doesn’t work. You will only be giving signs to your body that is is starving and it needs to protect itself. When it gets to that point it will basically start to shut down and your metabolism won’t burn as hot and you won’t burn as much fat.

when you start to get into planning your workouts you need to make sure to keep in mind the fact that cardio is a great way to lose excess body fat but that in some ways putting more time into your weight training plan can actually work better.

We’ve always been told that cardio is for fat loss, and it is, but we now know that weight training can help you build lean muscle mass which in turn burns more calories… night and day.

That means if you have two people who each weigh 120 lbs. but one has more lean muscle mass than the other, the one with more muscle mass will have a higher metabolism than the other. So they will lose weight more easily, or just stay at their existing weight easier than the person with less lean muscle.

Another cool thing with having lean muscle is that since the muscle can kind of act like a full body girdle it can make you look slimmer.

Mix up your workouts and add new elements on a regular basis. This will keep your body operating at it’s full potential. You never want your body to get used to one activity level, you want to keep mixing things up to get the most out of your workouts.

Keep these tips for the best exercise to get rid of belly fat and you can lose that obnoxious fat in no time.
