By lifting weights you can tone your body, which will make you look thinner, and you can increase your lean muscle mass which will help you burn more fat.
By mixing things up on a regular basis you can keep your weight loss and toning efforts moving forward by avoiding the dreaded plateau.
Your body will get used to a certain level of activity and if you want to lose weight you will need to add different things to your workout to keep your body guessing.
